說到蘋果派，台灣人大概馬上想到麥當勞那種外表香酥脆，外型像個小枕頭的蘋果派。但其實美國人家常吃的蘋果派不長那樣，而是相當規整（如圖）。據說，美國的家庭主婦在製作蘋果派時，會將之切割和排列的既平均又整齊，因此有了這個說法。與蘋果相關的片語、習語相當多，日後有機會，一一介紹：
