1. Men are like wine: some trun to vinegar, but the best improve with age. ~ Pope Johann XXIII ('keep learning' as a life-time observation)
2. If you were graduated yesterday and have learned nothing today, you will be uneducated tomorrow. (sop of 'keep learning')
3. Education does not make us educable. It is our awareness of being unfinished that makes us so. (general mindset of 'keep learning')
Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living; the other helps make a life.
Intelligence divorced from judgment produces nothing but foolishness. Understanding is the knowledge of the general. Judgment is the appllication of the general to the praticular. Reason is the power of understanding the connection between the general and the particular.
1. When work is a pleasure, life is a joy! When work is duty, life is slavery.
2. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
1. Knowledge make one humble; ignorance makes one proud.
2. Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.
3. Nature did not like hardness in speech, so there is no bone in the tongue.
4. Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
1. Grasp all, lose all.
2. If you run after two hares, you will catch neither.
3. All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.
1. There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
2. It's not enough that we do our best, sometimes we have to do what's required. ~ W. Churchill
1. Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.
2. The art of drinking, like the art of eating, is thus part of the art of living.
3. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
4. We all carry dreams in our hearts, and we need to keep dreaming. Dreaming keeps us hopeful; it lifts our spirits; it sets our sights high. Without dreams we can't aspire to be great. But without action we cannot turn those dreams into reality.
5. Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value. ~ A. Einstein
