My Favorite Club - 雅雅學語 (英文演講稿,3 分鐘)
Hello everyone, my name is Georgia, exactly the same name as in the greatest hit of Ray Charles around 1960s. Of course I wish most of you would often be crooning the melody of 'Georgia On My Mind' for what this friendly and nice girl has impressed you later.
As an outgoing and active girl as I am, I'm well expected to sign in some 'energetic' and 'rhythmic' clubs for rock bands or folk dance and so on. Well, quite on the contrary, my favorite club is way too far from your expactation. I'd rather actually like to take to some 'static' chores of arts and crafts. Among them, I like BEADWORK most. Because of this dramatic difference between my inner ego and outer appearance, I wonder if I could one day star in 'Dr. Jakyll and Mr. Hyde' for I'm the real 'Lady Double-dealer.'
I like to do the beading. And that's why I entered the beading club without hesitation at the very beginning of my school days. However, I often got beating from my parents when I did it instead of my writing. Some of you may be not quite familiar with the art of handcraft yet. Some may not understand the pleasure of attaching the colorful small beads to one another to make it a decent art piece. Well, beadwork is of great fun, you can not only enjoy the excitement and sense of achievement of dexterity by reeving the beadwork but also save lots of money from buying purses or wallets at department stores for you simply can make them yourself. I once made a 'beady' bag to my mom, and she took it as one with real jewelry on it. She liked her bag very much and was proud of me.
In the end, I'd like to share with you some words my beading club teacher once told us: 'It is quite often the small things that enable humans great.' Indeed, there're still many other interesting stories and benefits of beadwork. Just come over some other time and I'll show you around!
Thank you all, my friends.

My Favorite Club - 儀儀呀呀 (英文演講稿,3 分鐘)
My dear teachers and fellow classmates. I am here very honored today to have an opportunity to talk about my favorite club.
As we all have to be aware first, that there are quite a lot clubs at school as an extracurricular aid for us senior high school students, which are interesting and educational, really meaningful to students to broaden their visions over every walk of life and careers in the societies and improve their basic knowledge and common senses that enable them to discover their potential specialties and talents. And the clubs can be very beneficial if we can take well advantage of them.
I am personally fond of many clubs in my school for I am the girl with many hobbies. However, among those which interest me, English is the one I fancy most; that is, English Conversation Club is my favorite club. I always dream to be a real, decent English speaker. Not as natively as it may seem, I hope one day I could at least speak fluently and grammatically perfect English with my American friends. I am just so fascinated by the feeling of good command over a foreign language.
In addition to talk freely to Americans, I also like to fill the crossword games on the newspaper every day. My dad used to subscribe some popular English papers such as Taipei Times, New York Time, or China Post. There are many interesting articles or bilingual columns for students in Taiwan that make me not only informative of current national and social events but well 'lingually-lectured' through those plain and clear English compositions. But these can’t be compared to crossword games, which include all the above-mentioned benefits and especially fun, excitement, and some sense of achievement when I finished doing each game. I believe this is the best example of ‘learning through playing’.
In short, it would be inevitable for me to feel sorry if I fail to enter any English concerned learning club at school. I will keep learning English hard and be active to help other classmates and new comers of the club, introducing them the wonderful world of English and enjoyment of communication and mutual understanding.
Thanks for listening!
