K, I cannot have lunch with you before I leave Taiwan on Dec. 23. I am very tired from lecturing too many times in the last week. But I will be in Taiwan again in May of 2015. Let's get together then.

I am going to miss you when I am in Tennessee, USA. It was wonderful to get to know you in our class.

Dear Prof. LV,

what a pity to know that you cannot have lunch with us next Monday! However, it is even more worrying that you and Mary seem exhausted with hours after hours lectures and seminars, along with long distance trips back and forth, especially here in a terrible traffic jam of Taiwan, under such cold and wet days in winter recently. I sincerely beg you and Mary DO take good care of yourselves and always be robust and healthy! Please be sure to do so, not only for you and Mary, but for us, ones of your countless students benefited and enlightened by you over decades.

I'll certainly be looking forward to next May, waiting for you and Mary together pay another visit to Taiwan. And we'll have great meals together with Prof. L. Please tell Mary that she won't have to worry about the dishes for I too am omnivorous with a bias in red meat, lol.

See you then, my dear Professor and Mentor. You have made me so proud to be a student in NCCU.
Thanks again for Professor L's fine arrangement of the lectures for us, and, of course, thank you and Mary for coming to Taiwan this time.
