Yesterday my hip hopped, so violently that I dragged around like a lame duck, not to mention getting to the range to have over 250 reps of circular movement. Crippled and numb as a perfect candidate to celebrate Veterans Day, I stepped to the middle of the living room, picked up my royally collected 'scepter of glory', and managed to warm up the aging wrecks and ignite the 70's old-styled diesel with only a pathetic quarter take-up. And I found something glistening in Idaho:
Pendular Swing Practice, aka my PSP, an equal range amount of take-up and down swing, a swing with only half or a quarter range as a normal one which enables only a limited movement of shoulders and hips, damping the right hand down swing path without much momentum brought by the initiation of the waist. Thus a more subjective and dominant control of right hand slap is here relatively more emphasized. With time, such swing module makes you feel the flipping through of your right hand at impact, develop a more precise timing, and keep trace of your right hand swinging down at impact, which would be like a curve first and then an almost flat and horizontal follow through. The intensity of power and accuracy of a swing is of great determination here.
Practice this and add it into your daily swing routine, and it'll be a gift to everyone at the end of 2010 who has a craze for powerful swing and pinnacle torso-hand coordination of golf!
