Before deciding what type of teachers we are, we have to be aware of what on earth we shall teach as well as the target to which we transmit our thoughts, skills, or knowledge.
As a teacher for English education for over 20 years, in my case, I am devoted, determined to be a teacher full of love and compassion, a teacher that teaches not only essential skills for English communication but an idea that discloses the true meaning of existence, the motivation of life, and the dignity of human beings. I’ll let my students know their positions in our community as ‘privileged’ ones, not only ‘needy of knowledge’, not ‘disabled’, in foreign languages, nor ‘to-be-cared-for’ in the fields from pedagogical aspects. Their positions amid us remind us of the genuine ‘evolution’ of human beings lies not solely in technology and establishment but the revelation we have acquired through solving and overcoming, bravely and honestly, the obstacles and hardness during our limited span of lives. I’d like my students realize they are not ‘special’ for their meak performance to some degree or premature outlook of basic skills, but ‘special’ and ‘unique’ for the messages and callings they are ready to present us, the so-called ‘normal’ people.
To attain this, I am setting on a project to make a compilation in three volumes which consists of voc, phonetiks, syntax, morphologies, grammatical structure, translation, phrases, and idioms in the light of three stages, namely, primary and junior high school pupils (GEPT Ground-level), high school and general college students (GEPT Intermidiate- and high intermidiate-level), and advanced (GEPT Advanced-level). All essentials will be edited into a book, a handbook hopefully, which are designed to be learnt, reviewed, and look-up, meeting pan-purpose once and for all. That indeed is a great challenge to me, and that does take a lot of time, keeping me to reach my dreaming even par.
Yet that pays.
Hence I strongly believe it is appropriate to carry out the said prerequisites if I do hope to be successful in the teaching field of English education. To my students, I wish to be their teacher, mentor, helping hand, and true friend for a life time. But please don't try to be some fkn fibber to gain some dishonest profits by raising the wholesale price of some miracle spray then to hawk around at the park, duping those dumb dudes that used to trust him as a real handsome dungeon. The consequences: he was eventually replaced by a LK flubber in the list of TriDildos. And he was also excluded from the gangs of dumb dudes simply for he is too wise to meddle with in between. In this case, I was his teacher, friend, and neighbor. But now? Hardly. Well, the only reason that I'm still hanging around with him is simply my Father won't let me desert him, a genuine Father that will love and forgive him from the very beginning, only that he doesn't know yet. For him, to know it or not to know, that is a pathetic question...
