以下重點務要記熟;看不懂?問你哥;你哥不在,問松濤;松濤不在,問世榮;世榮坐牢,直接騎著你的蠍子管來找我,管聲夠吵才要教你:
1. Some times you may see a little dot ‘.’ put under the consonants [n] or [l]. That means there is a vowel [ ə ] being omitted before them, or simply to be read briefly through with less pause or liaison.
2. The accent symbol [ ' ] will only be available when there are 2 or more syllables in a word, in which the one or more than one syllables is/ are noted with accent symbol(s) as high-pitched or emphasized.
3. In comparison to Bo-po-mo-fo phonetic system, the accented syllable should be read as the ‘first pitch’ while the rest are read as the third if the accented syllable lies not in the last position in the word. However, it should be read as ‘the fourth pitch’ while the rest remain the third if it is the very last syllable of the word.
4. Almost all single-syllable words are read as the ‘fourth pitch’ individually. But the pronunciation of each word varies in regard to the context or the modal emphasis in a dialogue or article, subjectively dependent upon the speakers and situations, which is another issue in genre of pragmatics.
