dear respectful ladies and gentlemen, my name is nikki kao. I am of a personality of activeness and honesty, also I’m a girl of optimistic and always look at the bright side of everything. since my first year of senior high at chung guang girls’ high school, I’ve been looking forward to entering the department of study or research of entertainment science and technology, and your department in kaohsiung is exactly one of my favorite and interesting choices of all kinds. in high school years, I volunteered to be team leader in rock’n roll music club, learning how to make arrangement and organizing concerts as well as its ticket sales and other setups, which can be quite interesting and challenging to me, and still which enhanced my motivation to be independent to hold a big assemble, convention, or other convocations. in addition to this, I would also like to go overseas to see exotic cultures and traditions after graduation, which means I’d like to be a tourguide too if professors and teachers in the future think I can be capable of taking this job.

in short, i believe I can make my ideal career preparations valid and feasible by entering the department of entertainment management and i am quite sure that my dream will finally come true!

現在的教育卻扼殺了創意,因為現在的教育制度的概念,我們對智力的看法取決於學術能力的高低。但目前我們面臨到文憑膨脹的時代,這顯示著整個教育結構正在我們腳下改變,我們必須徹底重新思考我們對智力的看法。肯尼.羅賓森提出智慧包括下列三件事: 第一、多樣性。第二、智力應該是充滿活力的。智力的第三件事:是與眾不同。因此我們要藉由看重人類創意的豐富性,提供全人教育,使他們能夠面對未來。我覺得每個小孩在出生時都有豐富的創造力,就像羅賓森的小故事一樣,小孩是如此天真且不怕犯錯的,因此他們可以盡情的發揮想像力,然而我們現在的教育卻抑制了他們創造力的成長,甚至有些孩子已失去冒險的能力,然而我們只想把每個人都培育成向教授那樣的菁英,卻忽略了還有像是藝術家般的可能性,真的非常可惜。我覺得教育是一件非常重要的事,而時代的變遷,越來越多人提出更好的教育方式,至於如何實現,也是我們要多想的。雖然現在台灣的教育環境還有很多地方需要改善,希望之後也能有所改變,發展全人教育,提升我們的教育品質。

contemporary education chokes down creativity as within the concept of modern education we take intelligence as the competency of academic performance. however, in the age of credential inflation, it shows the whole educational system changes sneakily under our feet, in which we should retrospect our views of intelligence. kenny rogers raises three dimensions to observe so-called 'intelligence': first, diversity, second, liveliness, and the third but not least, outstanding. therefore we will want to put more attention to the abundance of creativity, well-being (holistic) education, in order to provide our next generations with enough courage to face their future. besides, i personally think every child will be as brilliant as a connoisseur of creativity, who is naive and has no fear for making any mistake. our modern educational methodology hinders their growth of it, and even some of the children have lost their pluck to take chances and dare to venture. all in all, there seems lots of weak points in taiwan's education environment for the scholars to fix and improve.

chairman, my dear fellow lionmates, and all the respectable elites, good afternoon,

i'd like first to express my gratitude to all of you for listening patiently to my travel sharings this time. with a rather timid and quiet personality, i have been challenged to face such weak point by traveling on my own and asked myself why i just can't overtake my inner scare for facing the public. along with my abundance of curiosity about seeing around overseas and the ambition to broaden my horizon of sightseeing, i often tell to myself: why not take a hike all round? by now, with this simple mind, accompanied by either tours or backpacks of myself i've visited over fifty countries with different experiences and impressions every time.

in my opinion, life, i see, is a process of being, whose length cannot be determined by the owners but not its width. (+ ps) and that's the very incentive for me to make every use of it so that i shall not repent. as with such age as i am now, i am especially more impressive of this.

My name is Evelyn Huang, born in July, 8th, 1990, into a family of four members, where Father is an entrepreneur in electronical fields, Mother a diligent housewife, and a younger sister in senior high school.

At times schooling in Dun-hwa Primary School, Taipei, my whole family once managed to emigrant to Canada in preparing for my secondary education and later back to Taiwan in Dun-hwa Junior High School. Through JHEE (Joint High school Entrance Examination) I was luckily permitted to Da-chi Senior High School while later my family chose Yen-ping Senior High School for me. After that without a hitch, I graduated from Informatics Dept and Institute in Tam-kang University.

During college and graduate school, I participated devotedly in activity organizing of my department and clubs in charge of backing up and general executive affairs, giving a helping hand to activity leaders and vice leaders in aspects of meeting arrangement such as recording and information gathering, anniversary alumni balls, welcome parties for freshmen, other related promotions in information weeks, and so on.

In graduate school as PMA, my main interests focus primarily on cloud tech as well as service calculating lab, in which a further research has been on Android APP and AI robotics.

我十分慶幸自己生長在如此溫暖的小家庭。家父是司機,幽默風趣又充滿哲理,從我小時候便常用比喻告訴我人生的道理。好比他曾說:「人生就像一張白紙,你的任務是要謙虛的學習,才能揮灑出鮮豔的色彩。」而這句話也變成了我的座右銘。就像家父所言,誰生來不是張白紙?誰不需要謙卑學習呢?家母個性保守,溫柔嫻慧,總是把家裡照顧的無微不至,也使我十分感激她的辛勞。

it's always been a blessing of mine to be born in a warm sweet home with my parents and siblings, in which i have a wonderful daddy, who is philosophically humorous, telling me the life is like a piece of white paper that can only be colorful if and only if you're a humble painter. indeed, that's my credo till now. i'm quite aware of such principle to making life meaningful and worthwhile journeying. mom is a kind and refined housewife, skilled at holding the whole family. i greatly appreciate their toiling and devotion to my education and growth.

考進北大經濟系後對我的思維有了很大的轉變。許多人說經濟系不過是紙上談兵,說到底理論不能當飯吃。我不能否認太多,但我也會說,如果能良善的運用,紙上談兵也能推演出精采的謀略。經濟告訴我善用「最小成本、最大效益」的概念,並且對於事情的要素與變數的靈活掌握。這也讓我在進入系學會後,籌辦活動時,更深刻地、直接地體會到這些概念。許多人說系學會吃力不討好,但我會說雖然它的確很吃力,但他們一定不知道在活動中的收穫與活動後的成就,是多麼令人喜悅!

later on, after entering the ED of NTU, i've changed a lot with my ways of thinking. economics is nothing but a financial white elephant? well, i give you that, yet i have to admit that even a white big clumsy can be very tactic if you know how to lead it. as the textbook saying, 'minimize the cost and utilize the value', along with clever and decisive policy-making strategies, i can usually make things right such as organization for college economical societies. tough task as it might be, it was of tremendous achievement when i took a good gloat after everything's well settled and done.

後學來自新店,祖籍坪林,祖父及外祖父兼務農,家父服務於私人電機機械中小企業,任職工程師;母親為髮型設計師。弟就讀國立台灣師範大學,尚有一妹,為大豐國小三年級學生。家中小康,生活所需尚不致匱乏,家人相處和樂融洽。

由於大家庭結構之故,與叔伯嫂舅同住,自幼便常見祖父焙煮茶品,為全家族成員一日之飲點,亦常陪同赴茶市採買。驚覺茶種的繁複、葉片生鮮的變化組合、又見祖父的巧手慧思,將各樣菁葉透過細膩的涤煮、恰好的火侯,以及細心的靜置,後如魔術般變化出一杯杯甘美之佳茗,便深為所引,故經常協助沖茶。自此便於茶飲結下不解之緣。

稍長,參與多次班遊畢旅等團康活動,於觀光休憩景點附設之茶莊用餐、住宿,觀其良好之莊園布置、管理服務、坡地座落位置等附屬休閒設備之安排,處處多是體貼周到。不禁好奇其管理模式之科學化、及其成本效益之極大化,所來何自。暗忖有朝一日習得此技,便可以將個人之興趣、謀生技能及服務整合,不日而為社會架構中穩固但不可或缺的一顆小螺絲。

現在畢業於輔仁大學學校財團法人餐旅管理學系,於多個工作機會間尋尋覓覓,探查是否有茶品相關公司徵才。管見以為,自身從小對茶道的喜愛,配合大學餐旅管理的專業,相信應可對日後的服務崗位,略盡棉薄,以達成「工作寓於生活、生活寓於工作」的人生觀。

1. Does a smart cellphone hinder or better your studying?
A: In my opinion, to have a smart phone is almost a must to office workers or businesspeople nowadays, yet it may not fit for a student’s case. As students, especially senior highs, we should focus more on what we learn every day in class or after class, to make sure if we understand what the teachers taught thoroughly, and try to do our assignments from teachers of each subject each time. In addition, we have to spare the rest of our leisure for improve our physical conditions, making ourselves healthier and tougher for the coming entrance exam, in which it is so hard to get high scores for ideal colleges.
In other words, we ought to face the harsh challenge in front of us with all our might to not only accomplish our missions granted as a high student’s goal but fulfill our parents sincere hopes. We would rather lose contact with our classmates or, say, not so easy to contact them, than use a smart phone to get online chatting with our buddies and fail our studying and exams in the near future. So, is it really smart to use a smart phone at this very moment?
